Privacy & Data Security

1. Local Processing Model

Unlike cloud-based editing suites, PodStudio is built on an offline-first desktop model. All scripts you draft, audio files you import, fonts you install, and backgrounds you design are cached locally on your device. While script dialogue text is sent directly to secure voice synthesis APIs (like Google or ElevenLabs) to generate audio, none of this data is ever sent to or processed by our servers.

2. Information Collection & Usage

We do not collect personal information. The only information that leaves your device is:

• Anonymous Error Reports: When a crash occurs during rendering or plugin loading, the app logs the exception (stack trace, operating system version, and desktop app version) and sends it to our secure error reporter service. This report contains absolutely no user identifying data, scripts, or vocal files and is used solely to improve stability.
• License Key Verification: To activate a Pro key, our activation endpoint checks the key to verify its validity. This activation does not link to any visual or audio content files.

3. Third-party Plugins & APIs

When you choose to install third-party plugins (such as custom TTS engines or voice generation APIs like ElevenLabs or OpenAI), you connect directly to those APIs. Any credentials, API keys, or configurations you input are stored locally in the desktop application's secure configuration storage and are sent directly to the respective API provider, bypassing PodStudio entirely.

Please review the privacy policies of any third-party voice providers (like ElevenLabs or OpenAI) that you configure via plugins, as they govern how they process text sent for voice synthesis.

4. Payment Processing Security

All licensing orders are processed securely. We do not collect or store credit card numbers or billing addresses on our servers. You can view the payment processor's privacy policy during checkout.
